PhoenX is a dynamic leader with a passion for education, creativity, and community building. With a diverse background spanning military training, business administration, and performing arts, PhoenX brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to her role as the founder and leader of The Montessori Attic (a homeschool haven), which she started alongside her daughter. Her ability to inspire, foster strong relationships, and leverage technology thoughtfully ensures that her homeschool environment is both nurturing and forward-thinking. As a former executive at Bloomingdales and a performing arts coordinator at West Hills Day Camp, PhoenX honed her leadership abilities, fueling and guiding teams to achieve excellence while maintaining a culture of growth and empowerment. Her dedication to community engagement through philanthropic initiatives reflects her broader sense of purpose and responsibility, creating an environment where every individual can thrive emotionally and intellectually. As a former music teacher at West Hills Montessori School, she demonstrated a passion for individualized education and inclusivity, fostering a love for learning in every child she encountered. Armed with her academic background, leadership acumen, and unwavering commitment to excellence, PhoenX is uniquely qualified to lead her Montessori homeschool program, shaping the minds and hearts of future generations with creativity, compassion, and innovation.

Yehannys

Early Childhood Educator & Montessorian

Yehannys Rosales embodies a nurturing spirit and a deep commitment to the well-being and education of children. Growing up as the eldest of five siblings and often taking on the role of caregiver, Yehannys developed invaluable skills in multitasking, organization, and patience. With a mother who's a nurse, she learned the importance of support and care early on, which fueled her passion for early childhood education. Her journey has taken her through various roles, from managing a bustling store to leading engaging summer camps. As a store manager, Yehannys honed her leadership skills, ensuring smooth operations while fostering a positive work environment. Her experience as a camp counselor exemplifies her ability to create inclusive spaces where children feel safe to learn and grow.

Yehannys is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, further solidifying her dedication to nurturing young minds. Her coursework and hands-on experience in educational settings equip her with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide enriching learning environments. Additionally, her certifications in CPR and bilingual fluency in Spanish demonstrate her commitment to holistic child development. Yehannys's blend of professionalism, warmth, and creativity make her a valuable asset to The Montessori Attic. With her outstanding communication skills and innate hospitality, she creates a space where children feel empowered to explore, learn, and thrive.


Miriam

ABA, Assistant Teacher, Montessorian

Miriam Zepeda Vasquez is a compassionate and dedicated professional committed to fostering growth and independence in individuals facing personal obstacles. With a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology from Queens College of NY, Miriam brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding to her work as a behavioral therapist. Her extensive experience spans various roles, from Applied Behavioral Analyst at St Mary’s Children’s Hospital to Community Habilitation specialist at Meaningful New York. In these positions, Miriam has utilized solution-based approaches and empathy to implement ABA techniques, facilitating language development, communication skills, and daily life independence. Her proficiency in behavior monitoring, coupled with her native Spanish fluency, allows her to effectively connect with and support diverse communities.

Miriam's nurturing approach extends beyond her professional endeavors, as evidenced by her role as an ABA Therapist and Teacher's Assistant at the McCarton Foundation. Here, she provided personalized attention and therapy to young children under direct supervision, collaborating closely with other specialists to tailor programs to individual needs. Her commitment to ongoing support and improvement is evident in her current role at Progressive Behavior Interventions, where she engages with parents and guardians to celebrate milestones and address challenges. Miriam's dedication to data-driven progress, coupled with her exceptional communication skills, makes her a valuable asset to The Montessori Attic, where her compassionate guidance can empower students to reach their full potential with confidence and resilience.
